The town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand has long enchanted travellers with its natural beauty, intriguing history and friendly population. The 31,000 person town is the capital of the Kanchanaburi province and is located where the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers meet, forming the Mae Klong river. The town also enjoys relatively cool temperatures due to its proximity to a mountain range. Kanchanaburi is an incredibly popular spot for day trips by tourists on their Thailand holidays.

Kanchanaburi's rich history is marked by the Japanese takeover in 1942. Allied prisoners of war constructed the Burma Railway here, and the film "Bridge on the River Kwai" details their harrowing experience. Over half of those working on the bridge died during its construction. The town's Thailand-Burma Railway Museum and JEATH War Museum remind visitors of the sacrifice made by the POWs, and the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery serves to honour those that gave their lives in the war.

Kanchanaburi offers nearly limitless opportunities for those yearning to explore Thailand's spectacular natural beauty. Discover one of Thailand's most loved natural treasures, the Erawan Waterfall. Nestled in a serene pocket of tropical forest, the waterfall's crystal clear waters are irresistible to swimmers. Adventurous travellers will also not want to miss the chance to take a trek through the area's bamboo forest and raft down the famous River Kwai. Getting close to nature is simple in the town, where you can ride one of Thailand's famous elephants and come face to face with tigers at the Tiger Temple. The wildlife sanctuary was established in 1995 and is run by local monks that are happy to give you a tour.
With plenty of cheap flights to Thailand available year round, now is a better time than ever to travel!

After many years of oblivion, the facade of hotel “Savoy” gets its former glory. However, the interior of the famous hotel is largely converted into residential premises, albeit luxurious, and the rest is just 56 rooms, which should continue its glorious tradition.

However, there are those who want to this once glorious building, in which early last century Russian noblemen came, English lords and aristocrats from all over Europe, completely transformed into a residential building. Beside this hotel, another 16 hotels have the same plans.

Sanremo had 118 hotels in 1960, and today there are only more than 50, with only one five star hotel, hotel “Royal”.

Mayor seeks to maintain the old spirit of town, especially during the famous music festival.

Most hotels in London offer English breakfast at extra cost. Supplement for full English breakfast is about 6 pounds or more (depending on hotel).

When we plan a trip, besides of destination and plan of visit, we are mostly thinking about where we gonna be located, or what hotel will be (facilities, location, category, layout….). Extremely few people do not asks for food, if you book full board. That (dis)information may cost a lot in London.

Basically, the cost of hotel accommodation includes “continental breakfast”. Continental breakfast in London means literally – two croissants, two little jams, a butter and something to drink. In some cases, even the coffee cost extra. Since it would be difficult even ate infant. This breakfast is easy, that’s just so much to be said that the hotel served breakfast and nothing more.

We’ve all heard for the “English Breakfast”, but what is actually English breakfast? English breakfast has several variants, but basically consists of: eggs, sausage, hot dogs, baked beans, one or two slices of tomato, pommes-frites or mushrooms, tea/coffee, etc. Most of the hotel offers English breakfast at extra cost.

Supplement for English breakfast is about 6 pounds or more (depending on hotel). Supplement is not exactly cheap, but definitely worth it. It’s easier to go to “conquer” of the London meaningful breakfast. This is particularly suitable for people who travel to business in London.

When you’re making hotel reservations, you can always pay the requested information, and possibly opt for it. Although for the lovers of good food perhaps this will not be enough, the English breakfast is more content than the continental breakfast.
